This quirky documentary follows octogenarian Isla, whose straight-shooting and funny personality (and love for horse driving carriages) makes her a local hero.
Isla lives with her girlfriend on a farm in regional South Australia – though she still calls herself a widow, having raised four children with a man. Taking care of a family in economically tough times, and having come out later in life, Isla is resilient and rebellious in this heartwarming and humorous portrait of an older woman living an ordinary life in an extraordinary way.

"plenty of great moments and, with Isla’s no-nonsense straight-talking manner, more than a few laughs." FILMINK
"From the enduring love of queer elders, the down-to-earth history of Australia in the 20th century and representing the lives of older women in general, this makes for a rewarding and life-affirming watch." QUEER REVIEW
